Archaeological Museum of Larnaca District

The Archaeological Museum of Larnaca District houses a large collection of archaeological finds from all over Larnaca, including the ancient city-kingdom of Kition and the Neolithic settlements of Choirokitia and Tenta-Kalavassos. The exhibits include objects from the Neolithic period, the Bronze Age and the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods.In addition to the large collection of local exhibits, the museum also exhibits some unique items of Egyptian, Mycenaean, Phoenician, Assyrian and Persian origin found in the Larnaca area, but may have been imported from other major geographical cultures in ancient times .
