Larnaca Medieval Museum

The Larnaca Medieval Museum is housed on the second floor of the medieval castle of the city, located at the end of the pedestrian zone of the Phoenicians. The Museum's collection is exhibited in three rooms and covers 15 centuries of history, with exhibits and artifacts from the Early Christian Period (4th - 7th centuries), 11th - 16th Byzantine frescoes, Medieval pottery from the 12th to 18th centuries, helmets and arches of the Venetian occupation (15th - 16th century) and metal utensils of the Turkish occupation (18th - 19th century). In the castle courtyard there is a collection of Ottoman cannons, as well as a 600-seat open-air theater used for summer performances.
