Municipal Art Gallery

The Limassol Municipal Art Gallery hosts one of the largest and richest collections of modern Cypriot art. The site hosts representative samples of the work of younger Cypriot artists, covering both the oldest naturalistic trends and the modern perceptions of painting. There are currently some 600 works of art in the Municipal Art Gallery covering a wide range of artworks (painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed materials, etc.). The Gallery is housed in an old building and in the new ground floor halls. The old building was designed by German-Jewish architect Ginsdbury in 1938.
